Wordle

How it works

Five letters, six guesses, same word for everyone today. Green = right spot, yellow = wrong spot, gray = not in the word. The streak counts days played, not days won.

Why everyone gets the same word

Five letters, six guesses, and the same word for every player that day. That is the point of a daily: comparing your four guesses to someone else's five only means something if you were both looking at the same puzzle, so the word is derived from the date on the server rather than picked in your browser.

The streak counts days played, not days won. Missing the word costs you the points for that day and leaves the run intact; missing the day is what ends it.

Signed out: this one needs an account to play. Every round is dealt and settled on the server against a user, so there is no guest version to offer — the overlay dismisses so you can read the page and see what you would be signing up for.
